Haliaeetus - Ocean Eagle Angst

4 comments:

  1. Each winter, hundreds of bald eagles arrive in the Annapolis Valley to feast on carrion chickens, pigs and other casualties of the agricultural industry. With high over wintering survival bolstered by the deluge of food, numbers throughout eastern Canada have grown dramatically since the 1980's. There is an eagle festival here in mid-February each year and people come from far and wide to see them up close.
