  2. Thanks Em. This little bird is known as a brown creeper. Creepers are very small birds, have sharp modified tail feathers used for bracing while climbing, long toe nails for clambering over tree bark and a needle like beak for extracting even the most tiny moth and other insects under bark. Most cool of all, they nest under bark shingles of standing rotting trees making their nests from shredded wood. I think you folks also have creepers, but I may be mistaken. It was -19 C here for 3 days late last week. Hope it is warmer where you are. Cheers ME
