  1. That first wave is spectacular, Mark! Were you in the helicopter? What a wild and beautiful spot!

  2. What a fabulous place and, like Fundy Blue, I'm wondering if you were in the helicopter? My only trip in one was the air ambulance when I broke my neck and back so I missed all the views! Stunning pictures as ever.

  4. The helicopter pilots with Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources are an elite group of some of the best fliers in eastern North America - true professionals that have been through it all. As biologists we rely on their outstanding flight knowledge and navigational skills that take carry us into some wild places that few people seldom, if ever get to see. It is a great privilege to work with our pilots as true partners on a team that makes much of our work even possible. This blog really is about trying to share some of these images captured, impressions of these places and species in them to my fellow Nova Scotians and people throughout the world that care to peek in on us! Thank you!
